Artificial Intelligence

Who programmes the future — and for whom?

Artificial intelligence is already shaping decisions: which application gets read, which news lands in our feed, which diagnosis is made. AI is not a neutral technology. Behind every algorithm lie choices about values and priorities — and about whose perspectives were included.

Every organisation is affected by AI, whether it deploys systems, regulates them, or simply has to deal with the consequences. The questions are the same: How do we develop guidelines that work in practice? How do we train teams to use AI critically rather than trust it blindly? And how do we involve those who are affected by these systems?

Dezentrum supports organisations through this process — from initial assessment and governance development to workshops and participatory formats.

OKJA Basel

Internal AI guidelines for youth work

AI is used in many organisations, but often without common guidelines, transparency or reflection. For OKJA Basel, we are developing a process that demonstrates how internal AI guidelines can be developed: in a participatory and practical manner, whilst allowing room for ambivalence.

Participatory design of an AI workshop for educational institutions

Together for a successful learning experience. With the workshop "AI in education - an interactive, critical discussion", developed together with the Dübendorf primary school, educational institutions are enabled to actively participate in the discourse around generative artificial intelligence, to recognise challenges and to develop strategies for dealing with these tools in the context of education.
