Yann Bartal

Yann is looking for ways to use the digital transformation for democratic coexistence. He wants to expose the digital promises of salvation and break the power of the self-appointed tech popes. Educated in literature, philosophy and social sciences, experienced in art and journalism, Yann works at the Dezentrum to teach digital skills and raise awareness of injustice. He also collectively organizes events to make Zurich's music scene more open and inclusive.
Jeannie Schneider
Partner
Addresses the normative questions raised by technological change. The futures we aspire to must be discussed democratically and participatively. That's why, in addition to creating concepts, communicating content is central to her work. Her studies in political science and law, as well as philosophy and global history, have provided her with the tools to link different analytical levels. Jeannie has done a lot of journalism and publishes a magazine.
Malik El Bay
Partner
Malik likes to make complex ideas tangible by building prototypes, which enable activity. He learned to experiment during his studies in Interdisciplinary Sciences at ETH Zurich, then internalized the relevance of failure as part of success, while building technology start-ups. He has honed his entrepreneurial mindset as a co-founder of several organizations over the past decade. In 2017 he has shaped two successful ICOs (USD 20+ million) and in the process discovered the potential of Decentralized Technologies. Further, Malik is a lecturer at FFHS and FHGR.
Flurin Hess

Is interested in organizational Studies and emergent technologies. Flurin is interested in the development of decentralized organizations and the influence of technologies on the working environment. During his studies in Business Psychology at the University of London, he dealt in depth with decentralized and agile organizational forms. Flurin has worked in different start-ups, co-founded and helped build companies. He brings his expertise to Dezentrum, especially in the areas of digital collaboration, organizational development and business development.
Lukas Hess
Partner
Understands the digital transformation not only as an opportunity, but also as a driver of growing inequality, which demands society-oriented solutions. In this context, improving digital literacy skills is of central importance, for which he is involved in various projects at the Dezentrum. He is not only interested in digital inequalities at the Dezentrum, but also in the context of his doctoral thesis at the Internet & Society Division of the University of Zurich.
Ramona Sprenger
Partner
Interested in the political and social impact of technologies. As an interaction designer, she works transdisciplinarily to create practical and innovative approaches to knowledge as well as places for exchange and activation. She is a volunteer in the cultural sector and a board member of swissfuture, the Swiss association for futures research and design.
Elena De Carlo
Intern
Elena is passionate about the transformative potential of design, particularly its role in reshaping social structures and promoting digital participation. She is interested in critically examining how design can contribute to challenging norms, developing forward-looking visions and evaluating the impact of design decisions.
Mirko Fischli
Partner
Enthusiastic about everything about media and technology. Mirko helped build the TV channel joiz and worked as a live director in the media industry for more than ten years. He teaches at the FHGR, and he completed a Business Administration Master in Graubünden in 2019. Mirko loves to exchange ideas with exciting people and learn new things. At Dezentrum, he is responsible for multimedia, leads projects and designs workshops or new products. As an all-rounder, however, he can be found just about everywhere.
Sarah Bleuler

Prefers to get involved in meaningful and socially relevant transformation projects. She takes on various roles, from communication and process design to systemic consulting. Regardless of the activity, the focus is always on a human-centered attitude and approach. Sarah studied journalism and communication as well as cultural journalism and trained in strategic design and systemic counselling.
Basil Rogger
Advisor
Basil Rogger studied philosophy, psychology and pedagogy in Zurich and Bern. Today he works as a cultural entrepreneur and lecturer of the master's programmes Art Education and Transdisciplinarity at the Zurich University of the Arts. He has been involved in various research projects by the Swiss National Science Foundation to foster scientific research. Basil is former member of the Research Department of the Gottlieb Duttweiler Institute for Economy and Society.
Daniel Gasteiger

Daniel Gasteiger is currently CEO of Procivis. He is also the initiator and co-founder of the Trust Square Blockchain Hub and co-founder of Verum Capital, as well as Nexussquared. He has served as a TEDx Speaker, is a board member of the Global Blockchain Council and a widely respected expert on decentralized technologies. He previously worked in the financial industry for 20 years, most recently in a leading position at UBS.
Prof. Dr. Peter Kirchschläger

Peter is Professor of Theological Ethics and Director of the Institute of Social Ethics ISE at the University of Lucerne. In addition to other research activities, he is an advisory expert on ethical issues for national and international organizations (e.g. UN, UNESCO, OSCE, EU, various NGOs). Moreover, he is a member of an IEEE working group to develop a standard for the consideration of ethical issues in the development of IT systems and software.
Monique Morrow

Monique is president and co-founder of "The Humanized Internet", a non-profit organization focused on creating a digital identity for underprivileged individuals. Monique is also an Associate Researcher at the Alexander Humboldt University Institute of Internet and Society. She is Co-Chair of the IEEE Ethics in AI and Autonomous Systems Mixed Reality Committee, where she is a member of the Executive Committee.
Dr. Michael Hill
Advisor
Dr. Michael Hill combines a strong academic foundation with a distinct entrepreneurial spirit. He founded his first company during his Master's degree in Biology and Theoretical Physics at the University of Zurich and managed it for five years. He then moved to Oxford University for his PhD in Pharmacology and to the University of California, Los Angeles, as a Research Fellow. Michael Hill currently manages the strategic direction and innovation of the SNF.
Guido Rudolphi

When Guido began work on a Univac for the first time in 1975, an enthusiasm for computers gripped him. Already as a teenager he tested the security systems of companies and public institutions, designed security concepts for them, and over the years has become one of the leading cybersecurity experts. Since 2011, he is a Bitcoin enthusiast and involved in various projects.
