Events

The Dezentrum association brings together people with different backgrounds and expertise who want to actively initiate and demand change. In order to make synergies productive, we have established a variety of different exchange formats.

Scenario workshop

Creating and discussing desirable visions of the future together is inevitable if we want to help shape the future. Because only when we know where we want to go can we proactively work towards it. This is why speculation, i.e. thinking about futures and creating images of the future, is an important tool for participatory shaping of the future. In various workshop formats, we practise speculating about desirable future scenarios. Our aim is not to make predictions about what the future will be like, but to develop an idea of the future we want to live in.

Prototyping Days

Discussing social problem areas, spinning ideas and developing desirable future scenarios are one thing. The question of implementation is another. Our association members are encouraged to concretize and test ideas. The association regularly offers prototyping days for this purpose. A prototype is an early sample, model or early version of a solution that is built to test a concept or process. At the Prototyping Days, members of the Dezentrum association develop prototypes for a desirable future scenario in two workshops.
